Marc Anthony was a guest star at the American Idol 2011 finale along with his sexy wife who is a judge on the spectacular show. Anthony was born Marco Antonio Muniz on the 16th September 1968 in New York. His parents, Guillermina and Felipe Muniz, the Puerto Rican and name their son after Marco Antonio Muniz, a Mexican singer who was popular in Puerto Rico. Marc Anthony grew up in New York with her sister, Yolanda Muniz. His talent was evident early on, Anthony realized that the voice, but need to develop to the stage to support it. This is done by singing backup as a session singer for freestyle and in the underground New York house music acts. Marc changed his name to avoid confusion with his namesake, and soon became a backup singer-demand, lending her voice to acts such as Menudo and the Latin Rascals.

His first release was a record called “Rebel,” which debuted in 1988 from the Bluedog Records, based in the Bronx. Marc Anthony and continues to perform at New York club scene and also wrote songs, often teaming up with Little Louie Vega and Todd Terry. In 1992, Vega and Anthony played at New York’s Madison Square Garden as the opening act for Tito Puente.
Shortly thereafter, Anthony changed his singing style from freestyle and house to salsa and other Spanish music. Taking inspiration from greats such as Puente, Rubén Blades and Juan Gabriel, Marc Anthony released his first album in Spanish in 1993. Entitled Otra Nota, to the salsa hit “hasta que te conoce” (Until I met you). He never looked back; his albums and singles were selling, with the exception of his two albums in English, 1999s and 2002s Marc Anthony repaired. In its effort to crossover, it seems that Anthony may have deterred some of their core audience.
In 1998, Anthony appeared with Ruben Blades in Paul Simon’s musical, Capeman, which ran for 68 performances. Marc Anthony also turned his phenomenal talent on the big screen, appearing in films such as 1996s Big Night and Man on Fire, published in 2004. Marc Anthony married fellow Puerto Rican entertainer Jennifer Lopez in the fifth June 2004. Their marriage was secret and little-spoken of for some time after the fact.

Anthony has a daughter, Arianna, with ex-girlfriend Debbie Rosado, who was in New York City cop. Arianna was born in 1994. Marc Anthony married former Miss Universe Dayanara Torres 9th May 2000. Though their union is often rumored to be troubled, she produced two sons, Cristian Anthony Muniz, born on 5 February 2001 and Ryan Anthony Muniz, born 16 August 2003. Less than a week after his divorce from Torres, Anthony married Jennifer Lopez. Mark Anthony and Lopez were dueted and performed “Escapemonos” at the Grammy prize in 2005. Their film, El Cantante, bio-known salsa singer Hector Lavoe, was released in August 2007.
